탐나라공화국은 2014년 2월 21일부터 황무지에 숲과 연못 등 인공자연을 조성하면서 상상을 실현해 온 미니국가입니다. 역발상과 독창적인 재활용 아이디어로 조성된 10만 평방미터의 탐나라공화국은 한국 최초의 ‘평생교육공원’입니다.

탐나라공화국은 한국 유일의 교육관광지로서 업사이클링과 ESG, 인문투어와 예술체험, 30만 권이 소장된 도서관과 갤러리, 돌과 유리를 녹이는 자연과학 체험에 이르기까지 창조적 발상과 아이디어를 아우르는 교육과 체험 생태공원입니다. 

Hello! This is the Republic of Tamnara located on Jeju Island, an imaginary country within the Republic of Korea. It's a lifelong educational park exploring new ways of living within the liberty to do anything and the liberty to do nothing at all.

The Republic of Tamnara, spanning 100,000 square meters and crafted through reverse thinking and unique recycling ideas, is Korea's first 'Lifelong Education Park'. It stands as Korea's only educational tourist destination, covering everything from upcycling and ESG to humanities tours and art experiences, boasting a library and gallery with 300,000 volumes, to natural science experiments melting stones and glass. This educational and experiential eco-park embodies creative ideas and imaginations.

Exploring the country usually takes around two hours. We melt volcanic rocks to create lava, which we then use to craft pottery with stone powder. In this enchanting world, birds and fish are born from stone holes and transform into scarves. Empty bottles undergo a metamorphosis, flattening out like tiles. This imaginative land is where ponds are created by clouds.
